Sometimes someone comes along that is quiet yet confident, talented yet not boasting. This is how I would describe Dennis Auslam. In the past few years we have been blessed to become friends with Dennis and his family.
He is a quiet man that has only begun to tap into his training talents with the Friesians and the crosses they produce. Oh, he has been training horses for many years but only in the past few years has been working with the Friesians. To quote Dennis "I have never seen a breed of horse like the Friesians. Just when you think they will fall apart under stress or from being pushed, they totally surprise you. They are like no other breed and can hold it all together, consistently." People have asked why we are having a cowboy train our horses here at Excalibur, well we have seen results with Dennis that few other trainers get. We know that the Friesian is a versatile horse that no matter what discipline they are ridden in, they look good and can excel at it. I have been able to attend several clinics and shows Dennis has been invited to partake in and he always is able to explain to the auditors how and why he gets the results he gets from these animals. Over the past few months Dennis has been watching tapes from Holland Friesian shows and learning all he can about Friesians. He already has a better understanding of these great horses then many that own them. All of this makes Dennis Auslam......... a rare find.
